Hello! This week we’re talking about the shadow self.
Most of us have a complicated relationship with our shadow self. We’ve spent our lives believing there’s something wrong with our most vulnerable parts. But recovery means recognizing that all parts of us, including the messy, shame-filled ones, deserve love and acceptance. Self-worth begins with embracing our full selves, not just the parts we believe are fit for society.
This weekend, take some time to think about your shadow self. You don’t have to rush this, but see how it feels to slowly, gently consider the softer parts of yourself.
